I think it is really important that the surgeon’s sense of aesthetics comes into play in cosmetic surgery. I see a lot of patients who have had surgery and it seems that somebody knew how to do a particular procedure and did the same type of procedure that they do on everyone on this particular person. I like to combine a sense of aesthetics with really meticulous surgical technique and take into account the patient’s own goals, expectations, and how the result is going to affect them personally. I alter and plan incisions differently for men and women, especially in eyelid and face lift surgery.
